Just how big? Remember that this is also just showing the city of Los Angeles itself, not Long Beach, Pasadena, Santa Monica, OC, etc etc which are all really one huge city.


I'm doing a project on the border so I've been looking up all kinds of maps.  The freeway system was started around 1947 and pretty much in its final state 10 years later (minus the hummers and sooo much gridlock).

On a rather unrelated note, I'm going to see Stephen Hawking tonight.  I don't know if we'll get into the main hall or the video annex, but either way I'm excited.
